(VA) Days Inn clerk shoots armed robber 07-17-03

U0TE: Fisher's father, Westmoreland Supervisor Darryl E. Fisher, said
yesterday his son is improving and may be discharged from the hospital
in a few days.""It's been a trying experience," Darryl Fisher said. "It's taken much prayer just to keep him alive. We'll sort through the rest later."

Mr. Fisher, Maybe you had better pray that your son considers a carreer change before somebody does NOT miss!! :rollryes:

Clerk wounds man in holdup at motel in Tappahannock

A 25-year-old Tappahannock man remains in stable condition in a Richmond
hospital after being shot June 26 while allegedly trying to rob a motel.

Tappahannock police say a desk clerk of the Days Inn shot an armed
robber about 12:45 a.m. Shortly after the wounded man fled the motel,
emergency personnel responded to a 911 call from a nearby townhouse
about a gunshot victim.

Tenelle Fisher, who lived in the townhouse development, has been charged
with attempted robbery and use of a firearm while committing a felony,
said Tappahannock Police Chief James H. Barrett Jr.

Barrett said Fisher also is a suspect in the June 20 robbery of the same
clerk at the same motel.
Fisher is facing a trial next month in Essex County on a felony
breaking-and-entering charge from last year. He was convicted in
Westmoreland County of forgery in 1998 and grand larceny in 2001.

Fisher's father, Westmoreland Supervisor Darryl E. Fisher, said
yesterday his son is improving and may be discharged from the hospital
in a few days.

"It's been a trying experience," Darryl Fisher said. "It's taken much
prayer just to keep him alive. We'll sort through the rest later."

FAIR USE

Looks like Sonny may be on his way to a career in politics like Daddy. Just getting a little rougher start- maybe Dad hasn't passed down how to rob without getting shot.

Huzzah for the motel clerk. Hope he doesn't get charged for shooting the wayward child of a public official or sued by the family.

Regards,
Rabbit.

Tennelle Fisher is a whimp for calling in the EMTs. Like Sgt. Barnes (Platoon) says, "Take the pain!" Oh well, for the time he's in the jail ward of the hospital, we know motel robberys will be down. :)
