I was wondering if anyone knows the value of a mint condition Winchester 94AE 30-30? It is just the rifle, no box or papers.

Looks just like this:

Thanks,

Can someone at least tell me why no one is responding? Did I do something wrong? I mean, 42 people have seen it and no one responded ...

I don't really know what the market is on them, but I saw a 94 XTR (higher grade checkered version) at a show today that was like new for $600 and thought it was too much. You can buy pretty decent shooter pre-64's for that sort of money. I've been rather surprised at what the later Winchesters have been priced at, and what people will give for them.

I still regularly see NIB commemoratives for $500-$600 from the 1960's.

Winchester as a company hasn't made guns for 30 years.

From 1980-2006 they were made by US Repeating Arms
Now Fabrique Nationale has the rights to market Winchester guns, and the lever actions are made by Mirokou in Japan.

As far as I know, the angle eject didn't come out until after US Repeating arms bought the New Haven plant

I guess it was the U.S. Repeating Arms version then, but I was never aware of that. Thanks for the help.

You can check Gun Broker and get an idea. I should have bought a pre 64 94 in 32 Special that had a peep sight on the back of the reciever. The job was done very nice. The rifle was like 95 to 98%. They wanted $500.00 for the rifle. I found out after I had passed on it the flipping rear sight was worth $150.00 all by it's self.

Its always a good idea to check Gunbroker to see what a particular gun is selling for. A 94AE is probably going to fetch $400-$450.
