Does anyone know the value of an unfired German Walther PPKS 380
with box, both magazines and all original papers inside?

If it's new, unfired and in the box, it is probably a recent production one I am guessing. In that case, the 80% rule is a good place to start. That is the pretty standard rule that any "like new" gun still in production is worth about 80% of the current retail/street price.

I see new ones at $500/$525, so I would guess $400. This is an estimate; you can check gunbroker and places to see what used ones are actually doing, for example.

Thanks for the reply, but the new ones made in the US
are nowhere near the quality of those made in Germany.
I bought mine in 1978. I have actually received offers
of twice as much and more than you say it's worth.
The reason for my question was to find out if what
I'm being offered is reasonable or too low.

If you have been offered $800 or more, you should take it... that's top dollar. If I could get that for mine I'd take it in a heartbeat.

I put it in both places because not everyone reads every topic.

Roger that, coach. I gave you an educated estimate in the other post. It's a nice-looking pistol, by the way. If you are interested in selling it, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a willing buyer. Good luck.
