I'm trying to determine the value of my unfired ,blued/case-colored .45 Colt Vaquero before I try to sell it at a gunshow this weekend. It is the older model and has the 4 5/8" barrel and has the box and all papers. I added a stock Ruger steel ejector housing. The revolver is in as new condition. Anybody have an opinion as to what a fair selling price would be? Thanks.

Don't expect a while lot as there's a ton of these out there. The change of ejector rod housing isn't going to add anything to a price most likely. May be a selling point but not a price point. I know I've seen them online and at different shops lately for $400 or under brand new. For a sale to a dealer, remember they'll have to add some profit on thier and so they might offer you $300 or so. For a private sale, maybe $350 if you find someone looking for one. however, many of the "old" Vaqueros are still available at the wholesale level and with so many out there on the used market, they' don't have a high resale.
Good luck either way! :)

Ruger Vaquero Prices

I agree with the 300.00-350.00 price, but suggest you check some web sites like GunBroker and Auction Arms to get an idea what people are asking for these guns.

Bluebook lists the 100% (NIB) Old Vaquero at $475. If it isn't new, 98% lists at $330. I don't know what your "add on" does to price. Says to add $40 for simulated ivory grips.

There is one for sale in a gun shop here in town. Dealer said he sold the gun new and then took it back in a trade from the original purchaser. Supposedly he never fired it and there is nothing to indicate otherwise. He's asking $349 + tax for it.
