My girlfriend has some lead wheel weights and is looking to sell them. What is a fair price per pound for lead in this form to sell to reloaders?

$1/pound sound fair for FTF sales?

Nothing illegal about selling lead I don't believe, right?

$1.00 is what my local scrap dealer sells WW for

I try not to buy WW anymore due to the wasted weight in clips and none lead weights. They cost me the same as melted down range lead or plumbing lead.

I'd buy them again for 80-85 cents a pound.

If they are sorted (all the non lead weights removed) $1/pound is pretty much the going rate...unsorted, I agree with earplug....maybe 85 cents/pound.

I am soooo glad I stockpiled enough WW's to last me the rest of my life before WW availability got like this.

Edited to add: If you have a way of smelting them, they'll sell a lot faster.

The guys on castboolits are getting $1/# plus shipping for smelted and ingotized WWs (sorted for stickon vs. clipon). They are typically getting $.80/# for RAW WWs.

I've been contemplating stocking up on some WWs as I eventually would like to cast.

My tire guy sells unsorted (mostly clip on) 4 gallon pails of WW's, and easily gets $40.00 per pail.
