[I sort of asked this in the Autoloader forum. It came up because I'm looking at selling/trading this Mod 15 as a way to get a Buckmark.]

How can I determine the going value of a 15-3 4" .38 Spcl? Are gunbroker.com and gunsamerica reasonable methods? I know everyone's guns are in great condition. This one really is. LOL. Honestly, the bluing is immaculate. I *don't* have the original box/paperwork. I bought it probably 25-30 years ago. I've certainly shot it - but not a ton.

I'm just trying to figure out what I can expect to get when at a show.

Thanks.

In 2006 The Standard Catalog of S&W gave a valuie of $400 in excellent condition, $550 for as new in box. If looking on gunbroker, etc, go with the completed sales only, not the asking price. Also be aware that some people get buyers fever. If one gun sold for $550 and 5 similar guns went for $400, then $400 is the real going rate.
