Had a rough day at the range with most of my rifles. My Vector V-93 was the most bothersome, with an FTE problem I'd not seen before. I've brought it out to the range before, getting OK groups... Today, I had multiple FTFs and and FTE that got me to put away the rifle. Regarding the FTEs I pulled the trigger, fired, and the bolt went 3/4 of the way forward and stopped. Could not tell if the fired case ejected unfortunately. But I brought the bolt all the way three times. First time, just got stuck at 3/4 way. Second time, stuck at 3/4 way, but ejected a round. Third time, went all the way forward, and ejected another round.

Here's the concerning part. Looking at the two rounds that were ejected,
- one shell (A) appears to have been fired, but the neck is knurled inwards, like it was getting rammed into something.
- the other round (B) had the bullet jammed way back (over half way) into the case.

I'm guessing this live round got slammed into the back of the unejected spent casing. Guessing also that maybe the knurling at the neck was caused by the spent case being rammed further into the chamber. Both rounds kept the bolt from going forward.

I'm going to inspect the barrel tonight, just to be sure that there's not obstructions.

FWIW, the ammo was Fiocci .223, same as I've fired before, same HK factory mag I've used before.

Any thoughts out there as to what the cause might be? Extractor problem maybe? Or a spent case somehow got stuck in the chamber? I dunno...

In case anyone might have some thoughts, here are some photos of the casings

Yes - bore and chamber seem to be clear. Extractor also seems OK. I'm puzzled...

It was a simple fix. I have a buffered carrier, and added a buffered collapsible stock. Twas too much buffering. Went back to the unbuffered fixed stock, and all has been well ever since.

Plus the fixed stock is a heck of a lot more comfortable anyway, and not too much hope a decent cheek weld with the collapsing stock...
