I dusted off the Venom, today, and I forgot how good it is shooting. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. But I cut more than 6 inches off the barrel, anyway. It's no longer the longest, by far, rifle on my rack. It's a little shorter than all my powder burners, now.
Shot great before. Shoots great, now. I noticed that the factory crown job wasn't deburred very well. And the POI went up by about 30 clicks. But the only difference I can tell in the way it shoots, so far, is that it's definitely a bit louder. I might have lost a few fps, but I like the way it handles and cocks. And theoretically, it might be a little less hold-sensitive.
