VEPR receiver cover on AK?

Anyone know if you could put this receiver cover on an AK? Would It work with the stock front sight?

Krebs custom used to make a sight similar to that. I believe you could send them your cover and they'd attach it. It seems they stopped selling it for some reason.

probaly cause its not that good and loses its zero. Its monunted on the dust cover. Its not going to be that steady.

I think it has set screws to tighten things up, but not sure how good that works.

Are the sights on the Galil and Valmet crap? (don't they have rear sights on the top cover too?)

I have not been that impressed with the return-to-zero capabilities of the KTR's dustcover sight. It is rock-solid when attached, but it does not re-zero properly if you take the dustcover off and reattach. Plus, the dustcover and gas tube are held in place by brute force, and are a serious PITA to reattach, but that is a KTR-specific issue.

YMMV. Others have said that theirs returns to zero fine.
