It has been a while since I have carried concealed, and since that time I have purchased a Taurus 24/7 9mm. I would like to purchase a nice quality leather vertical shoulder holster for it, but it has been so long, I don't know what to buy. I use to be a big fan of the Bianchi X15, but I am not sure if it will hold the 24/7. Does anyone know? It looks like Galco makes a leather vertical, but I don't know anything about Galcos. Are they any good? So, I guess I am looking for any suggestions or opinions and hopefully someone has a vertical holster for their 24/7 they can tell me about. Thanks.

I've been very pleased with a Null model SMZ vertical shoulder holster for my Makarov. It's a pretty simple design which does not need to be individually fitted for a particular gun - basically the gun hangs by its trigger guard and is held on the hook by a wrap-around piece that snaps to give a secure hold. The barrel sort of nestles in front of the armpit, pointing up. Deployment is by a slight lift and twist, which is pretty natural. All synthetic materials which neither scratch a finish nor hold moisture.

Take a look at http://www.klnullholsters.com/

For carrying in colder weather I have a Galco Miami Classic horizontal shoulder holster. I've had it for years, it's probably seen a combined total of 13-14 months of daily use. I expect to own it for a long longer, too. I'm not an expert when it comes to the science of leather, but what I can say is that the holster looks sharp, fits comfortably, and is plenty durable long as you don't plan on low-crawling through a slough.
