I kept thinking: "if dogs are outlawed, only outlaws will have dogs."

Now that one made me laugh...and what better state to be an "outlaw" in.

You folks from the "USA" really don't understand what is is like out here in the "territories" Ninety percent of the dots on the map have less than 500 people. Don't know what you mean by "nearby" - around here that translates to about a hundred miles.

I can vouche for that too. Just getting to MT from La. I saw plenty of little dots on the map, and many that weren't on the map. At least you don't have the problem my mom's hometown has. The place was decended upon by the rich and famous durring the 80's as prime building ground so now the town lake is overrun with speed boats and such durring the summer, and the property taxes have gone up because of all the building and multi million dollar homes on the lake and just outside of town. Couple that with the economic prospects of being a service industry town and you can see where the problems are. The Wal-Mart was hiring a few months back and there was a line like half a mile long! Great googly moogly! The only good thing is its still one of the most beautiful places I've even been. I'm hoping to get back up there for an extended visit soon. Montana is Big Sky Country for a reason.
