Seen it before.

I can never understand the thought processes of people who spend $1000+ on a rifle and then feed it the cheapest, lowest quality ammo that can be legally purchased.

Well... A thousand dollar rifle ought to be able to shoot anything! :neener:

Cost is relative. $1000 is cheap compared to some other rifles. $200 might be expensive to another guy. I never understood people that use automated car washes for their $10,000, $20,000, or $60,000 automobiles, or people that use WD-40 for their firearms. Whatever works for them...it obviously does what they want it to. Some people save up their entire lives to buy a Corvette, and for others, it's chump change.

I've never had a problem with Wolf so I continue to use it (when it can be found) until I have problems. Run what your gun feeds, and if it chokes on something, avoid it. I have issues with WWB fouling up my 1911 for plinking so I don't use it; I use Blazer instead. Should I go on an anti-WWB rant?

Use the right ammo for your job. I'm not going to hand load or buy match ammo if I only want to plink, and I am not going to use range ammo for self-defense. Maybe if I was a extremely wealthy, I would shoot nothing but match ammo, but lets be realistic...most people don't have unlimited wealth. Moderate your spending the way you best see fit. I would rather plink four times a month with cheap ammo my gun can digest, than plink every other month with match ammo and stare at my collection meanwhile.

Don't expect cheap ammo to perform like expensive ammo, but if you have no issues when feeding your gun(s) for plinking, there should be no reason to avoid it other than avoiding scary internet mobs.

Where do we draw the line? WWB and Blazer people looking down on Wolf? Milsurp people looking down on WWB? Black Hills and Federal looking down on milsurp? Lapua looking down on Black Hills? Handloaders looking down on everyone?

Well. I've been handloading for two decades. If you are careful you can avoid such unfortunate experiences. Just gotta follow the rules and don't push the margins. Ain't nothing but pain on the edge.
