Just picked up a Ruger Vaquero, chambered in .45LC and absolutely love it. In case anyone has not ever seen one before, here's a short video:

Not being a grouch at all. That's the problem when you can't talk face to face, sometimes things get lost in the translation. I guess I should have added a smiley face... No offense meant.ArchAngel: You are right, I only loaded five into it. And as for the negative remark, don't be such a grouch. You'll live longer.
I put up a better video of the New Vaquero:
And for those of us who shoot a lot with traditional single actions, it's wise practice to treat them all the same. Even if they are safe for six. I'll sometimes carry my New Models with six rounds but at the range, it's five only.Even though it is completely safe to load six rounds in a transfer bar equipped Ruger single action revolver, the convention in Cowboy shooting is to only load five rounds and lower the hammer on an empty chamber.
nooo nooo nooo! You're doing it wrong. SAVE those. You'll kick yourself for getting rid of them once you start reloading.I am selling my once fired brass, and reducing my per round cost that way, but...
Show her the bill for the factory loads and she'll come around quick.Sorry, I know I should. Still in negotiations with the significant other.
