Video of Ted Nugent going off on Obama while waving machineguns around at a concert!

I am at work and I have to sound so I could only watch the video. I have no opinion one way or the other of Ted Nugent. I don't care for his music but I have watched his shows on tv and like them usually. I think this is the kinda stuff that gets us labeled as insane or crazy but that's just my opinion hope I'm wrong.

he did not do that at the CAT SCRATCH FEVER tour concert, Granted that was 30 some years ago. Am I that old

Finger on the trigger?
Sometimes he goes over the top, and in this case he did so big time.
You just can't go around threatening Presidents or candidates, no matter who you are, or think you are. This did our side no good, and, I think, gave ammo to the antis to use against us. My 2 cents.

So, against my better judgment, I watched this video that seems to consist of profane personal attacks with no reference to any sort of political activity. It appears that Mr. Nugent has become so musically irrelevant that he needs to wave guns and shout slurs about political candidates to get his crowd excited.

High Road indeed.

:scrutiny:

I think he was vulgar, but he does verbalize what many pro-2A people think about these anti politicians. Maybe it'll bring the politicians out to criticize us, then we can point out WHY Ted said what he did. And if it scares the politicians, good. I for one think politicians SHOULD be afraid of the general populace.

Sorry but in this case I couldn't care less about what the politicians think but how as I said earlier it will surely "label" us. They always seem to see the negative with guns and never the positive.

Exceedingly crude; more so than Whoopi Goldberg's tirade a few years back. His targets were legitimate in that they would impinge on our freedoms as gunowners but his technique is plain counterproductive.

I completely agree, especially the last statement. After all, isn't that what the Second Amendment is all about? I can get crude at times while arguing our point to some of the "people" similar to our dear recently departed troll, since turning the other cheek, and always taking the high road soon has you running out of cheeks. Sometimes brute force is all they understand. Sad but true. Using their vulgarity and utter lies against them never seems to sway them. Why must we always think their's will work against us?

Ted's a showman. The majority of the population sees him as such.

While I don't condone his methods, I certainly agree with his rights. The left will use anything against us, not just this fed-up display of his. I saw no threats, I saw him invite Obama and Hitlery to suck on the end of his barrel. Crude as it is, I doubt it will do no more harm to us then what the anti's already have in store for us... He said it all, at the end of this video when he yelled "FREEDOM". He has a point, like it or not!

I'll be a little surprised if talking about sitting US senators and presidential candidates in a threatening way like this doesn't land him in deep legal do-do.

Even if it doesn't, this is NOT how I want the gun culture portrayed.

As is the case with any cultural struggle against an entrenched power structure, ours is a war for the hearts and minds of the general population. It isn't about changing the minds of the antis, it's about capturing the minds of the fence sitters and the uninvolved. Given this, Nugent blew it BIG TIME.

Ted Nugent doesn't speak for me. I abhor what he did here. And the gun community needs to come out in force and tell him so in no uncertain terms.

looks like a noisy loud rock show

Imagine, cursing and swearing at a rock show!
I'm SHOCKED! shocked I tell you!

When Ted is on TV he is very articulate and a great debater, when he is at a rock show, he is one of the greatest rockers of all time!

Play Reno Ted! we preciate you here!
Long Live Uncle Ted!

oh btw I didn't see any machine guns, I saw semi auto AR and not sure what the other one was.
He didn't point at the crowd, no mags, no fingers on any triggers.
Somebody needs to tell Obama and Hilary what the working class thinks of them.

I don't think it will hurt our cause. He's a rock star. I'm sure he didn't sway any Hillary or Obama fans, but I'll bet he got some of the fence sitters amongst his own fans thinking his way about guns. Sounded like the crowd was eating it up. That was probably the most appropriate way for him to get across a message about defending 2a rights in that forum. Can you imagine him reciting some politically correct essay about why Clinton and Obama are wrong on the issue? I say good for him.
