I had to shoot this test three times because I couldnt get the damn thing to hold any kind of pattern..I started out with .375s, which I decided were to loose... I went to .380s and they were all over the place...so I went back to .375s and low and behold it did start to pattern at least...although not great....this and the 58 I did last both had two bad cylinders that threw rounds way out from the rest. Check it out.

Interesting. Conventional wisdom (often wrong) always says tighter balls are better. Thanks for an entertaining video. Do you use any wool wads? Over ball lube? I've heard but not confirmed that the tresco nipples will take care of the blowback you described since they have a much smaller diameter flash hole. Just a thought.

No Sir I dont use wads or over ball lubes....my thought is all that greasy crap is just something else to help collect crud...and you dont really need a wad...just my thinkin. I was cleaning the bore (with brush and water) each load.

Started with .375s and then went to .375s ??????? It doesn't make sense. I think there's a typo in there somewhere.

yes there was..I started with the .375s..(I only actually loaded one) then went to .380s...and just shot it and shot it couldnt get it to do anything but spray them all over...ran out of .380s..so I loaded the .375s and they did not shave a ring..but they did pattern a bit better. There are 2 cylinders that are bigger than the rest..I suppose causing the flyers. Manufactured in 1970...I guess its too late to send it back..

I do appreciate the offer but this one isnt mine, it belongs to ol East Texas...he just sent it up to me so I could do the test on it...he is a good egg Im tellin ya!

Brushhippie, love your videos and I really like that one about Wild Bill's shot at 75 yards, great stuff.

But, since she's spraying all over the place why not get another barrel for her?

Thanks! It sure could be the barrel....I find it strange that I keep finding gun after gun that shoots pretty descent but throws a wild one every single time...and mostly in the same spot...I am going to number the cylinders of every revolver I own and shoot them on individual targets and Ill just bet I find that each one will deliver the round to basically the same spot every time..(with a good controlled bench shot of course) I wonder if its not the cylinders themselves but the notch the bolt drops into....
I know one thing, the quality of these replicas varies wildly from year to year if not day to day. A good example was the pair of euroarms .36 Navy's...first off one of them had new model army printed on the side of the barrel and the other navy...they were really completely different guns..appearance wise they looked pretty much the same, the frame was a plum color on both and the barrels blue and the cylinders would interchange but werent really right, the actions were completely different and had entirely different feels about them..and they were manufactured by the same company a year apart (which were 72 and 73)...I guess what Im saying in my rambling is if you get your paws on a good one, you better hang on to it, cause I dont believe it happens very often....just from what Ive seen.
