I have a collection of knives called the Vietnam
Tribute Collection. I have been told by one collector
that he bought his collection in 1981. Another collector
told me he bought his Navy Knife in 1984. The producer
of the collection claims that it was produced in the mid to
late 1980s. Would anyone know the year of issue for this
collection?

This is my blog showing some of the best photos
of Vietnam Tribute Collection in 1024x768 resolution.
There are four knives in the collection.

Yeah

all google's turning up is other people who've asked the exact same question or your posts to other forums. Have you tried bladeforums yet? Are there any manufacturer's markings on the case, knife, etc, that would help you figure out where they came from?

See this link for more info on collectibles.

Pax Jordana, Gerber was the first call, they do not know the year of issue.
The producer of the collection Robert Beurlein estimates mid to late 1980s, though I have heard otherwise. It is the MKII, certainly. The Serial Number on the knives are relative to this production only, so I cannot cross reference the Gerber MKII Production Matrix based on a Serial Number from Gerber.

I have been on many forums asking any one who would know, and no one
knows the year of issue.... been on knife forums as well with Bernard Levine.

Thank you very much for your time!

If Levine doesn't know it will be very difficult to come to any conclusion of the source can't help.
