I have an Interarms Virginian Dragoon in .44 Mag and I am looking for some accessories for it.

It came to me with Pacmeyer grips that are a little to large for my hands.
Does anybody know where I can find a set of wood grips for it?
(Eagle only carries them in buffalo horn and they cost ~130 dollars for a set)

I would like to hunt with this handgun and would like to mount a scope on it.
Does anybody know of a scope mount for this revolver that does not require drilling and tapping?

Thanks,
Souris

I to have one of those and asked the same question over on Graybeard Outdoors. Here is the reply that a felllow Dragoon owner posted..........

"Congrats on the purchase. These Dragoons are the shiznitz! I love mine, shoots better than all other handguns I've ever owned or shot with exception of my Colt Python.

Mine was drilled and tapped, then they used a #34 Weaver base(?). ...I think thats the model number(dont quote me). I've long since removed it. They drilled/tapped two holes in front of rear sight and used the rear sight's screw hole as well to attach the base mount(3 screws total).

You wont find any pre-fit bases for the Dragoons. That handgun hasn't been made for about 23-24 years now. There weren't any made for it either. I'll try to find the base and get you a part number, but it'll be sometime this weekend before I get home to look for it. Unless you're good at machine shop work, you will probably need a gunsmith to mount a scope on that big honk'n revolver."

Hope this helps.

Thanks! Any information on this is useful and good to have.
I was hoping not to have to drill it and tap it since I will have to have it done.
I may just use the open sights for a while.

I LOVE this revolver! Trigger pull, recoil, lockup it is all great! I really think that this revolver is nicer than my Ruger that I had.

Can you post a pic of it? And where was it made? I read in the blue book some were made in Switzerland and I'd like to own one of those.

A Virginian Dragoon was my first .44 Mag, back in the late 70s. It handled very well, with full powered loads, and was quite accurate.
