Anyone have current experience with Viridian products? I'm specifically looking at the CTL tac light and the C5L-R light/laser combo. I did some searching but most threads are 2+ years old.

I recently got a CZ P07 and am thinking about setting it up as an HD gun; I have an older Insight M3 light that I've always liked and have used it with my SP01 and various railed 1911s, but I don't like the way it protrudes past the muzzle of the P07, for various reasons.

I'm not an operator so this isn't a heavy-use situation; more of a "will it survive 50-100 rounds at a time when I'm too lazy to remove it before a range visit" sort of thing.

Any input appreciated.

I use a Viridian C5L on my carry weapons. Which is the green light/100 lumen combo. Viridian is a solid company and worth the money if you prefer rail mounted lights over grip mounted such as Crimson Trace. My C5L has no problems dealing with recoil as I have had it on everything from .380, 9mm, .45 and even put it on my 12 gauge for laughs while night shooting.

Green lasers....

I do not own any Virdian green lasers/white lights at this time but I've heard many - reviews of the system. :uhoh:
Reports of the lasers breaking quickly & the light/laser combos not going on targets properly.
I am impressed with the Viridian strobe(flashing light) feature but I'm not sure the steep price; $300-400.00 USD could justify buying it.
I plan to see if the cool new Laser Dazer Guardian device gets rolled out to the general public(USA). That laser system is very impressive.
It's only a sworn LE/public safety/armed services purchase for now. :(

Viridian is one of the few products I have owned that haven't had the magical "crap out" bug. Warranty lasts for this long, and start having problems when the warranty ends. I have owned my Viridian C5L for about 3 years, other than some scuffed edges, it still works the same the day I opened it.
