Washington State, rifle, private sale, under 18.

I can't find any reference to the law with regards to a private sale of long guns to a 17 year old.

I find many references to the "possession" by individuals under 18, but not "purchase".

Is it legal to sell a long gun to a 17 year old in a private sale?

Or is it legal to sell it to their "guardian", knowing it is meant for the 17 year old? I know this would be considered a straw man sale if done through an FFL.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I'm not sure a parent or legal guardian purchasing a firearm for use by a minor is a straw purchase. Can't really see how it would be, but I'm not a lawyer.
