Anyone from the Waco area that I haven't already PMed know of an FFL dealer who will receive a transfer for $25 or less?

I've already talked to Praco, Keith True Value, Hewitt Guns and some place at 1001 Wooded Acres but either they ask outrageous transfer fees or they don't do it at all.

There was a place in Temple, Love's Guns, that would do it for $15 when I still lived there. Not sure if they're still open but if there's nowhere decent around here I'm sure going to find out if they're open. I'll drive 40 minutes before I pay 50 or 60 bucks just to receive a rifle!!

This is pretty frustrating. There seems to be NO ONE around here who will accept a transfer from an individual. They're saying it must come from another dealer...which is going to add to my costs. :cuss:

No, but thanks for the tip! I'll try it out when I get home. It's blocked here at the school I work at.

Praco charges 50 bucks, Keith True Value charges 60 bucks. Everyone that's said they can do it has also said they'll only receive from an FFL too.

I've gotten some good tips in PM though. We'll see what happens.

If you are willing to make a drive down to Austin you could try Hank Fleming . He charges $35 for FFL transfers and he has done transfers shipped from individuals in the past. Give him a call and see what he says.

Often the bigger problem is getting the shipping company to accept a firearm for shipment from an individual.

Nah, I'm not willing to go that far. I'll use a place in Temple before I go all the way to Austin. Like I said though...I got a tip on what sounds like a good place through a PM.
