So you used to be wealthy? Nice.

I laughed out loud at this^^

Congrats on the purchase! I've always wanted one. Someday!

It's a lot cheaper to become an 07/02. I have a friend in Arizona who is an FFL07/02, he gets to basically just convert all of his most fun guns to full auto. Not sure, but I think a transferable MP5 in decent condition goes for what, $25-30k these days? OTOH, my friend can buy something like a new SIG MPX for $2k new and buy a full auto sear for a couple of hundred bucks or make one for basically nothing and voila, he has a brand new FA Sig MPX. He just bought a FA Draco for just a couple of grand. Post 86 guns are cheap, they sell for what they should sell for. Sure, he can only sell them to LEAs and government but jeez, he has a huge safe of FA fun toys what he accrued for less than the cost of one transferable. We shot his converted Glock 17 he has in a CAA Roni stock, what a fun gun that nobody but an 07/02 or a government can own. Glad I got to shoot a 1200 rpm bullet hose, it was cool.

Cheaper but temporary. (For the post samples, anyway)

I thought dealers could keep their samples even after they are no longer dealers. However if they want to sell them, they have to be sold to another dealer of course.

Dealers can keep their pre-'86 samples after they give up their SOTs. Post samples must transfer to another SOT, and may do so without a law letter.

I learn something new everyday. Thanks!
