Long story short, I am on the SWAT Team for our police department. On a whim, our Mayor (who has no clue what we do) bought 10 suppressors for our Glock 9mm pistols (which we do not need because they are not practical for our applications). Anyways, we have H&K MP5's and were looking for a way to see if we could mount the suppressors on the MP5. Is there an adapter that y'all know of that can be used to mount a threaded suppressor on to the 3 lug system that is currently on our MP5's, without having to get new suppressors or getting the barrel threaded. Thanks

Yes, depending on which suppressors he purchased for you guys, there are 3-Lug adapters which will allow them to be mounted to the lugs. They typically run in the neighborhood of $100/ea. The mounts are usually brand-specific due to differences in the threads on the back end of the can.

Older SWR Tridents, SWR Octanes, Gemtech Multimounts , AAC EVO 9, AAC ECO all come to mind.

Thanks for the response. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough, so I drew up a quick diagram. Basically looking for an adapter that fits on to the lug and is threaded for an Advanced Armament Suppressor.

Again thanks for looking, I called Advanced Armament and they said that they are currently in the R&D Stage of making an adapter to run their Ti-Rant-9 on a 3 lug system, and expect it to be released soon.

Unfortunately, AAC has been promising 3-Lug adapters for the TiRant for a long time now, so "soon" may translate to another 8 months+. If you guys have a pressing need to get those cans mounted ASAP, threading the barrel ahead of the 3 Lug is the only solution I can think of at this time.

The only thing that threading the barrel in front of the 3 lug might hurt is if your mayor ever bought you suppressors designed for those 3 lugs; it might not align properly. Then again, you could just get thread protectors the corect outside diameter if you ever did get them.

I wish my mayor would buy me suppressors.

Basically what happened was we were purchasing Suppressors for our 4 H&K 416's (which our 4 entry team leaders carry) with the 10.5" uppers and 2 for our Remington 700 .308 sniper rifles (we have two sniper teams, each one runs on suppressed and one not). While the demo was going on at the range, the Mayor was approached by the salesman and told him that he also had suppressors for the Glock Pistols. He allowed the Mayor to shoot a suppressed Glock (with handloaded subsonic rounds, which we do/will not use). Anyways Mayor was so impressed with the Pistol Suppressor (not understanding that it took subsonic ammunition to achieve what he shot/heard, also not understanding that we would have to purchase new holsters just to carry them) that he bought 10 of them, without even asking us if we needed them or could possibly use them. Now don't get me wrong, I like getting new equipment, but love it when it is more practical. Now we have over $10,000 worth of suppressors that just sit in the trunks of our cars. We have 4 H&K MP5's that were passed down once we got the 416's and were looking for a way to possibly run the suppressors on these sub guns. Hopefully AAC will get off of their ***es one day and get around to getting that adapter out.

We might be able to come up with something for you. Shoot me a PM if interested and I'll give you a call. Would need a little more info first.

If you really want, I can just trade in the existing silencers you own for tri-lug product. That solves your entire problem right there.

I'm a dealer for Gemtech and AAC and I can set you up with MK9K's, Raptor 2's or Evo 9's with the tri lug.
