Walked away & kicking yourself

I passed on buying a friends left handed 1100 a few years ago still wish I had bought that one. I also turned down the chance to buy an AR-15 pretty cheap because I didnt need another one I am really kicking myself on that one.

I set down and walked away from a new manufacture Rossi 2" .38 revolver for $150. At the time I was still kicking myself from walking away from a Norinco 54-1 for $100 OTD. They may not be top tier guns but I sure couldn't find anything wrong with them for the price!

Coonan .357. I could have had several for cheap. Now they are almost as bad as trying to find a cheap Python.....

Two - about ten years ago at a gun show I ran across a beautiful .380 pistol (can't remember brand - S&W I think, but not sure). Nickel, with fantastic wood grips. Fit my hand nicely, too. But I didn't want .380. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!. I can still see it in my mind. Hope to run across it again (hopefully not pointed at me!).

Other was a used but pristine Sig P228 at a very attractive price at a gun show. Set it down to mull it over a few minutes, and another guy walked up and bought it. Followed him around for about an hour hoping he'd put it up for sale. Even asked him about it. No joy. Much regret.

Davidson's exclusive 5" GP100

I noticed them on the Davidson's website a few months before they were ready. I called Davidson's about those guns three times before they were even available. By the time the guns were ready, I couldn't afford to buy one. It absolutely kills me to this day.

I make good money, but my wife and I relocated and bought a house last year. A lot of things went wrong in the house, and my wife's business hit some very hard times. She lost all of her customers because of the move, and we've struggled to build her business because of the economy. Her business is slowly building, but it has been a lot slower than we expected.

I watched those GP100s fly off of the website just before Christmas, but I just couldn't justify buying one. It makes me absolutely sick to this day.

I just hope that Davidson's does another run of these some day, but not too soon.

Just remembered another one that haunted me for years but ended up with a happy ending.
About 25 years ago, a co-worker offered me his Third Series Colt Match Target in perfect condition with the box for $200. He bought it new in 1976. I wasn't really into guns as much as I am now and I told him I'd give him $150 but $200 sounded a little steep. He passed.
A few years later I realized what a treasure that gun was and tried to buy it from him. He wasn't hurting for money then and said he was going to keep it.
I pestered him for over 20 years to sell me that pistol. A couple of years ago he got married late in life and had a baby. His wife wanted the gun out of the house so he offered it to me. I was ecstatic. I gladly gave him $600 and picked it up that afternoon.

Two weeks ago a sti edge with the blue finish with 125rds down the pipe for $1385 shipped and about 2hrs ago there was a sig p210 for a mere $1450 in 98% condition on a sig site. I wish I would have bought the sti, probably should have tried to buy the sig.

You must be unfamiliar with Weigand's work. And not being done anymore. So if you come across one, you'd best snatch it up ( which I failed to do ).
