'Das one...

big ol' skunk snoopin' outside yer door.
Otay... tell us the tale of that little abode. I've lived in places just about as primitive... I'd like to hear the tale.

Callin' my Partner' Buck a Skunk, might make em' think of liftin' a leg on your mocs....

What's to tell, the rock outcroppin' makes it cool in the Summah' and warm in the Whintah'.....:D

LOL I'm just yankin' on ol' Buck's chain a bit. He looks like a fine pal.

Year 'round campsite? It does look like a nice set up.

Campsite is not mine...but a historian. When things get all serious, the modern stuff goes, what's left is a mostly 1820's woods camp with a few modern elements. Trust me, it's every bit as cold or hot as the weather allows. My friend that owns it owned a fort once upon a yarn'...he built it and it was the talk of the nation for abit. Nowadays, he's helpin this pilgrim gear up and is pushin' him out the door. I couldn't ask for a better pair of mentors. His wife has made more Period Correct gear then most anyone can imagine. And the Old Boar has built and ruminated about the days of Old Middle Maine, more then anyone....

Life is good....Pease, my friends....

That's cool... good to see folks keepin' sharp on some of the old ways. We may all need it if Osama (Obama) gets his way.

A nice hide away... that's all one needs besides fresh meat and a small garden to lure the fresh meat... :O)
I gotta go set mine up over in the Mountains at the Club Range and camp a couple days. Got an good ol' stand up A frame Rev War Infantrymens Tent.
