Don't know about other areas of the country but the WallyWorlds around central Kentucky are closing out WWB 9mm WinClean 115 gr ammo (WC91) and WWB 9mm 147 gr TCMC (USA9mm1) for $5.00 for a 50 round box. Since yesterday I've cleaned out 4 stores (17 boxes) and I'm going to hit a couple more today.

Yup.. I hit the ones in Seattle (Fed way/Renton/Lynnwood) I guess they are going 100 pack only in 9mm... I have never seen so many in stock before.. guess they are getting smart. Also saw a 50 pack of WWB 357SiG for $13.50ish

I did pick up a box of 250 round megapack of 45acp for $50.. not to bad of a price :)

Noticed they had 250 round megapack 40s&w for $40

I haven't seen the WWB in 50 round boxes around here for a while. Now all WWB is 100 packs. Around here they carry Blazer Brass, and Remington UMC in 50 round boxes for $5.97.

The Wally Worlds in South Jersey don't sell ammo...(or guns)....but we do have Dick's Sporting Goods, and another chain called The Sports Authority that sells (fairly) cheap ammo.
Dick's is heavy on the Remington-UMC, and Federal American Eagel, while The Sports Authority sells nothing but Winchester USA (White Box). The last time I checked they were selling the 100 round boxes of 115gr. 9mm for $13.95....no bargin there since a few more miles up the road at a place called Lawmen's Supply I got a 500 round case of Remington-UMC for $59.00, that's $10.75 cheaper.
Several more miles up the road is Ammoman.com's wharehouse, and if you pick it up there he takes an average of $30.00 off the price of a case...(depending on case size, and price)

I saw the deal on 9mm winclean too but as I don't care weather it is lead free primer or not and it is onle 1 buck less than a 100 rd value pack I decided to leave it for others!

I bet most Wal Mart customers could care less about the lead free primers and went for what was cheapest hence the blowout.

I can top that...

...our Wal Marts were closing out of Blazer 50rd boxes of 45ACP for 5 bucks a box (!!!).

Needless to say, I bought everything the two stores near me had in stock - that was 15 boxes.

Blazer is not the best ammo, but at 5 bucks a box...hell..I'll take it!

Wow. I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid. They all closed around here, I kind of figured they went under everywhere. I get most of my 9mm from Outdoor World. The UMC and Winchester usually sells for less than $5 for 50. Everything else I order online.

I quit buying ammo at Wal Mart

I quit buying Winchester Whitebox ammo several months ago due to the lousy rotten service at the Wally World sporting goods counter. I could never get waited on. In fact I won't buy anything from their sporting goods department period. We have two Wal Marts here in Saginaw, Michigan and they both have rotten service.
I buy my Whitebox ammo at Gander Mountain for the same price. Sells for $11.34 per 100 here.

AFAIK, none of the Wally Worlds in the state of N.J. sell any ammo.

When it comes to buying ammo, particularly shotshells, I think the name "Dicks" is appropriate for many of their stores. The closest Sports Authority to me probably sells 2 or 3 boxes of .22 a year, and their people are more clueless than Dicks on the subject of Ammo.
