Whenever I go to my Local walmart at undisclosed location tennessee, I ask them for .45ACP... and every time, they say "no maan haven't seen any of them in a long time...." This has been the case all year.

Tonight, We're picking up a few things after the fireworks, and I notice them restocking, with boxes saying 45automatic :what:

So I say, I see you have some 45 Automatic, I would like to take some off your hands... and he says "Sorry man I can't even sell you any, its past Ten O clock, You will have to come back in in the morning if you want some" :cuss::cuss::cuss::cuss:

"So is this a Tennessee law or something?"
"nah more like a walmart law" :banghead:

So only murderers and criminals buy ammo after ten? What gives?

100 round boxes of 45 for only 29$ INSTOCK too bad I cant buy any tonight!

At our local Wallys in Eastern Iowa

the stores are open 24-7 and the register in sporting goods is closed out sometime in the evening. But if a customer wants ammo it is sold no matter what hour but the ammo has to be taken to the front register by an employee who then turns it over to the customer for payment at the register. No problem.

Sorry, your fault IMO, you should have demanded to see the manager on-duty. You let the punk BS you because he didn't want to be bothered. You could have had 6 boxes, now those will be on gunbroker tomorrow.

I better go buy some for the 1911 that I might buy; just in case, ya know?

Sounds like the Blue Laws. You try to buy any adult beverages during the same visit?

I think the Wal Mart here has a sign up something about all ammo sales between the hours of 9 am & 9 pm. I'd make sure to have been there first thing this morning. Can't beat that price.

I was told the same thing at a Lexington,Ky Wally World. Manager told me it was a city ordinance. Think I'll call the local prosecuting attny's office tommorow and find out.

Announcement... the ammo counter will be open between 12:00 noon and 2:00 PM and fully staffed. Please remember, there is a 6-box limit, so don't hassle our associates about Walmart policy. Otherwise, you may have to wait for an associate who doesn't have the key and has to go find the guy who is on break who has the key. Set your clocks and ask for a long lunch hour. :D

There is a sign posted in the welfaremarts with hours when ammo can be sold.Get up early and be there in the morning.Or become friends with the manager on duty.

Before we all complain too much

I would like to remind us that we live in what is supposed to be, primarily, a capitalistic economy. Wal-Mart is not a public servant funded by our tax money. Wal-Mart can operate just about any way it wishes regarding how and when to sell ammo. If we do not like how any certain business operates we can vote with our feet. Walk out of the place and never come back. If we choose to patronize any business it is our decision. No one is twisting our arm. I have found Wal-Mart employees, as a whole, to be courteous and helpful and even, when I am browsing, if one walks by he/she will ask if I need help. I know I may be an exception...because I have been really lucky, or just diligent, as far as getting a lot of Wal-Mart ammo. But we cannot have it both ways. If you want capitalism than remember what some of the factors are. I think I hear way-way too much whining about Wally. If you do not like them then go to Scheels or whomever and pay 50% higher prices. End of rant!!!:cuss:
