I was a little surprised to see some AR 15's at Walmart tonight.
Two brands: Colt and Bushmaster.
Sales clerk says he has sold quite a few !!

They started a few months back. A couple threads a around now. I went to one of the wally worlds in Topeka, Ks and they actually had a sig sauer ar in stock:eek:

We have Bushmasters and Sigs here in Tennessee at a few locations. From what the counter guy said they are selling well here to. I am for anything that will increase the number of these guns being owned by civilians.

I've seen Bushmasters at Wallyworlds here in SC, but no Colts.

What model Colts are they selling? SP6920? What price?

Why don't any of the local Walmarts sell guns?

EDIT: It's to do with laws in Maryland and the local jurisdictions.

Haha, I noticed a few ARs at my local WalMart about a month ago. I asked the clerk when they started carrying ARs and was kindly informed that those were not AR15s. WalMart does not sell AR15s because those are dangerous, illegal machine guns. I said "Oh, so what do we call those?" To which he replied, "That's a Bushmaster and that's a Colt." Precious.

Sig in the two I have been in in AL. I would think Wally world would have a lower end rifle if they followed the normal model but apparently they are stocking them for some political reason rather than to sell a bunch.

And the local gun shop, dies a little bit more each day.
Until Wal-Mart starts carrying reloading supples, good accesories, and oddball ammo (7x57, 35 Whelen, 6.5x55...etc) the local gun store will be quite alright.....wait mabey I should not give them any ideas :D

we have em here and i love it. not that im in the market for another, but i like to see the whole "black guns are evil" bs put to rest. kudos to WalMart for FINALLY pulling their heads out of their butts.

I haven't seen any in my local Wally World in DFW, but will be on the look out. If any of you in the Metroplex see them in a store post and let us know the store location.

We have em in our local, Bradenton Florida, Wally World. Didn't get a good look to see what manufacturer though...as I remember just a bit over $500.00 so they probably aren't Bushmasters. I had just finished building my project gun when I saw them and told my wife that I could have bought three of those for the price of my build!

Be careful what you wish for...a similar thread as going on another forum and someone from Kentucky said their WM sells everything you need to reload....bullets, powder, dies, presses, etc.

The Wal Mart in Fernley Nevada will never have AR's in the case or in stock as long as the current sporting goods manger is in charge. The assistant store manager told me this.

Our local Wally has powder, primers, bullets, dies, cleaning supplies, etc...Good news is powder is a $1 a pound more than local shop and bullets are comparable. Other than Competition Rifles I never buy a "New" one anyway. Don't think Wally will be carrying and WOA or CLE uppers anytime soon. Guess that makes the odds of me buying a rifle at Wally about 0.
