OKay...
So yesterday I was in Walmart buying two .40 S&W 100 round value packs (sorry guys - but $29 plus tax for 200 cartridges just can't be beat) and took a look at the rifles they had on hand.
To my surprise they had a Winchester M70 chambered in WSM .270, synthetic stock, blued barrel and scoped (don't know the brand) all for $389. Geeez - if I had a place to shoot the darn thing (I'm into pistol target shooting, IPSC and CAS but want to get into long range rifle).
I'd have bought it on the spot except at that price I had to wonder what was wrong with it? The scope looked to be at least one in the $75 - $125 range and just a plain ole M70 Black Shadow without scope has an MSRP of $523 and sells for $405 normally at the gun store I've bought all my weapons at.
So how the heck can Wally Wolrld sell them so cheap and are they any different from a real Model 70?
