Walther P-22 problems and parts?

Hi all,

I bought a used P-22 3.4 incher about a month ago, I havent really had time to shoot it but I was wondering if they had problems as all i hear is that some pin breaks in it or something. not the firing pin, something else.
Also the recoil spring looks the same on both ends and I fieldstripped it and the spring fell out, It looked like it could go either way. Is there any place you can buy new recoil springs or upgrade parts for it?

Walther roll pin

Hi Ironman,

Looking at the left side of the weapon, immedately adjacent to the safety, there is the face of a circular pin. This is a hollow (rolled or roll) pin. In some P22s, it tends to work it's way out under fire. I sent mine back to S&W and they fixed it and sent back a spare mag for my troubles. Others have just pushed it back in an smacked it with a nail set and added a little blue loc tite.

I prefer to let the service people do things like this for me.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as we enkjoy ours. I guess I should say as much as we enjoy my Wife's P22, 'cause she claimed it immediately.
