I just bought a P22 about a week ago and took it to the range for the first time yesterday. I shot about 250 rounds through it with almost no problems. One time it failed to fully close the slide on a round. But that was probably just an ammo problem. I wasn't using the highest quailty stuff.
Anyways, when I got it home and started cleaning it I noticed that a little piece that goes through where the safety lever is was starting to come out. I don't know what the piece is called, but it's not really a pin... more like wrapped up metal. It gets covered by the safety lever when it is disengaged. I had to tap it back in with a little screwdriver. I'm assuming this won't work it's way out while shooting, since it's covered up with the safety off... but I'm wondering how it started coming out. Maybe I disassembled the gun wrong or something. I thought I followed the directions in the manual, but maybe I missed something or is this normal for the Walther P22?
