Well, I am happy to say that my new P22 was an absolute blast on the range the other day, no pun intended, okay maybe some pun. Anyway, I was at Bem Avery, for anyone familiar with it. One of the Range masters as well as the guy next to me were very interested in this little gun. Needless to say I had lots of pressure to hit my targets with both of them watching. First shot was dead center in the red bullseye. I told them both I was going home right then. Granted this was only ten feet, but hey, I'm a rookie. I'd put a photo of the targets up, but the wife tossed them. Doh!
Anyway, the first 100 rounds oc CCI standard velocity went flawlessly through it. I then put in a magazine of Federal High Velocity. The gun hates those as the second round didn't eject properly. I had 3 such failures in a ten round mag. Then I put another 100 flawless round of Remington high velocity hollow points, that the salesman said wouldn't feed. I did both aim and squeeze each shot as well as just point and rapid fire. No problems. Went back to the Federal and had five of the ten not eject. Felt like I was shooting my air soft pistol since I was basically pullling the slide back manually after each shot. Had to leave after that because the geniuses at the range decided to put 30.06 shooters next to me when I was told I was at the pistol only section. The noise was too much and had to leave.
I gotta tell you this gun was the most fun to shoot that I have ever shot. The CCI standard velocity basically have the recoil of an air pistol. The Remington high velocity had a tad but not too bad at all. In fact, after shooting that, my snubbie felt like a cannon.
