Walther P22 Ammo?

I have a P22 and it has used hi-velocity only with NEVER a misfire or objection. The reason I love this little pistol is that S & W will fix it for life if need be. I don't worry about the loudest sound ever, a click when I expect a bang. That is good enough for me.
Maybe you should proof read this post too.

+1 on Mini-Mags; it's hit or miss with much of the bulk stuff that's on the market, but it's also safe to say that not all P22s perform alike: What works in mine may not work in yours, and what works in yours may not work at all in mine. Only Umarex could tell you why.

Check out the P22 Bible at either the Walther Forums or RimfireCentral sites.

Glad to see this thread rise from the dead after 3 years.

My new p22Q will run anything I've tried so far. I haven't used standard velocity yet. No need to feed it slower target ammo since I only use it for fun/plinking. I've had mine for a couple of months now and have run the following:

CCI: MiniMag / AR Tactical / Blazer / Stingers
Federal: Champion / Lightning / 550 Bulk / AutoMatch / GameShok
Winchester: 333 / Super X / Wildcats
Remington: Golden Bullets

P22's like to crack their pot metal slides.

If you don't believe me google image it.

Knowing that I'd try to use the weakest load that it will digest.

Thanks Sneaky. It is always good to be
aware and alert as a precaution.

My neighbor only uses mini mags thru his
P22. Currently at 8,000 rounds and counting.
His idea is to break it if you can then have
S & w replace it and start anew.

He may be onto something, huh?

I know several bad things have been reported.
Not many, if any manufacturer has escaped
horror stories.

What I guess I am getting at is choice is what
makes the world go round.

You can always make another gun purchase later.

Go for it.
