Looking to trade my used Walther P22 plinker for a new Kel-Tec P32 for summer carry. What ya'll think?

I have owned both. I didn't like the P22, it never functioned well and it was only a range plinker, so it had no real practical value. I sold it.

I carry my P32 in the summers. I have never had a malf or jam of any kind with it. Got about 600 rounds through it. I will never sell my P32.

Depending on the condition of the P22, it sounds like a fairly even trade. The KT P32 is a good pistol for what it is. Reliable, little recoil, and decent capacity for tiny gun. The only way to go smaller and maintain more than 2 rounds is with the NAA Minis, although I would rather carry a P32. Get the belt clip and it will be nearly invisible. For summer carry, I would recommend the chrome slide. BTW, load it with Fiocchi FMJ 73gr.

Your trading a gun with a zinc slide for a gun with a 4140 steel slide, while it has aluminum and plastic in the frame at least they used real gun materials in the barrel and slide in the Kel-Tec.
The Kel-Tec is much more practical if you are going to carry it for SD obviously, for plinking not so much. For carry, of course, the P-3AT makes more sense than either.

Yeah I plan on using fmj in it. I like fiocci. I already have a .380 walther. I have always wanted a P32 and I don't feel like I am losing in the trade. Thanks for input.

IMO, go with a p3at. .32 and .380 are pretty expensive right now.
