Hello.

(I hope, that this thread are righ in this category.)

Is there someone, who one a Walther PPK in .22lr?
I have some question.

- The first, how is the accuratly with this short barrel? (I know that the barrel is 83 mm long?!)
- The next question, how many rounds apply in to the magazine?
- What parts of the PPK are abrade?

I am very happy, if you can help me.

They should be capable of 50-70mm groups at 20m. They hold 8 shots in the magazine. The PPk is very durable, but perhaps the firing pin will get worn if dry fired too much.

Thank´s for your post.

The result is realy good, bether is my smith wesson also not.
At germany we shooting generelly on ranges with distance of 25 meter, but i want the ppk bassically for ipsc.

I have one question yet, what kind of ammunition do you use?
with the 617 i shooting bassically the cci standard and the federal american eagle.

Greats.

I don't know what the I.P.S.C. rules are in Germany but.

Here in the U.S. I can't think of too many guns more unsuitable for that, or 25 yard target shooting then a .22 PPK Walther.

Here, they are rare, no longer available, expensive, have poor sights, and poorer triggers then a lot of other guns.

I love them to death, but they are not I.P.S.C. game guns by any stretch of the imagination.

I think your best bet is to find out what guns the rules allow there, and what the best shooters are shooting.
Whatever gun that is, is going to be your best chance of becoming successful in competition.

rcmodel is right about IPSC here in the US. In Germany, they may allow .22 weapons due to overall gun restrictions, but larger guns, 9x19 or larger, are needed in the US to knock down heavy targets and reach power factors placed into the rules. A .380 PPK might be acceptable here, but guns with better sights or more modern designs would be better for combat shooting. For plinking, light target, or pocket carry, the Walther PPk is a great little gun. They go for $1000 to $1500 here, as they have not been imported since 1968. I use any high speed ammunition that is found to be accurate in the Walther. I have a supply of Winchester Dynapoint .22LR, which may be hard to fine in Germany, but there are many fine .22 rounds, and your RWS or Dyn. Nobel should be fine.

My Walther PP and PPK pistols in .22 caliber eat just about anything, from Federal bulk to better and more expensive ammo stocks. I have the best luck with Mini-Mags, especially when it comes to accuracy. I don't know if they are available in Germany, but I'd sure give them a try if they are.
