Walther PPK .32 serial number

Looking for info on a Walther PPK, only s/n I can see is on the butt of the handle, as 396728.
Gun is heavly blued and cant see any marks on slide or around trigger area.
Any ideas please. Thanks,

Probably a worn gun that was polished up and re-blued. I have a Rem. 51 from the '30s that has been polished and refinished to the point I can barely read the serial number.

Might want to try looking over at p38forum.com or waltherforums.com for serial number info on your Walther PPK.
