I recently picked up a Walther PPQ to try out. I'm tempted by new products and can be somewhat impulsive when I buy things like handguns. I rarely change my carry gun mind you, I just like to play with the latest and greatest.

I picked up a Walther PPQ as I felt it was an interesting pistol. I liked the feel of the pistol and I thought it was a handsome firearm.

Just watched your review. Very nice review, and it looks like the PPQ is a very nice pistol.

I'd like to point out that I think your criticism of the slide release is a bit off. Most of us have to slightly tilt any pistol to use the thumb release button, so I don't see that as a knock against the PPQ. Right now, I'm thumbing the release on my P226. Yup, sure enough, I have to slightly tilt the gun so that my thumb has enough leverage to depress the release.

Couple questions:

1. How much metal contact is there on the slide and the frame?
2. The trigger reset is so small, did you find it easy to snap off an inadvertent double-tap?
3. Holster recommendations?

By the way, you are a helluva good shot.

Your difficulty with the mag release on your Sig might be the result of the size/shape of your hand. I have no such issues with any pistol I can recall that uses a push button release. That's likely because my thumbs are as long as many folks index fingers. That's why I find the PPQs release to be awkward.

The metal contact is nearly identical as a Glock. I can upload a pic that shows them side by side tomorrow.

I didn't find that inadvertent doubles were a problem, it never happened to me.

I haven't been holster shopping yet so I can't say what's available or what might work.
