Starting tomorrow Cabela's has the PPQ on sale for $529.99 (19-29 JAN).

Might have to go divest myself of some Cabela's bucks!

I've really gotta cut back on visiting THR or my bank account is going to be pissed. So now I've got to check out this pistol AND the stainless CZ 75B. Maybe if I'm good enough I can convince the wife I need a polymer and a steel 9mm. :D

-Thanks! You just saved me another $40.

EDIT: Here is a great customer service example for you. I emailed Cabela's this evening telling them about the sale and they're already responded and are sending me a $40 gift card.....Completely satisfied with less than a 1 hour response time and zero hassle.

PPQ is a beautiful gun and for nearly $350 less than the P30, it's an attractive buy.

Picked one up tonight at Cabela’s and finally had the chance to dry fire it. Previously, I’d only had a chance to handle on at a gunshow, and I’ve wanted one since buying my PPS.

Holy Chit! What a trigger! It takes striker guns to a new level.

Kind of reminds me of a striker fired, poor mans P-30 in a couple of ways.

Funny... I always though of the H&Ks as "poor man's Walthers," what with their copy-cat ergonomics, inferior triggers, and not-quite-as-good mag release levers. ;)

By the way, you don't put that last cartridge backwards in a Walther mag. That's only for H&K advertising doofuses. :) Walthers are too classy for that.
