I have been seriously considering this gun for my next CCW (being aware of possible recall issues). The close runner-up would be the XD40-SC or maybe the Sig P239 DAK. I will be trying out all 3 within the next month or so.

Now, I realize this is all subjective, but Im interested in personal thoughts/ideas from those who have actually handled/shot this particular weapon.

I have the P239, like it a lot and carry with 357 Sig barrel.

PPS is nice in 9mm but may be a bit of a bear in 40. Still not a bad gun as I have not heard of any recall issues. Definately smaller than the other two.

If it fits your hand and works for you then go for it.
I have been sorry that I didn't get a gun but never sorry that I got one.

Recall? What recall are you referring to?

I've talked about my PPS enough, search for details, but the short version is:
Thin/flat
Great ergonomics
Far better than average CC accuracy
Recoil is very manageable in 9mm, not too bad in .40
9mm gets one more round in whatever size mag you use, with the flush-fit mag that's a 20% increase in capacity (6 instead of seven)
Mags are expensive and sometimes hard to find

I pack my PPS every day that I'm not working (industrial facility with armed security) in a quality holster with a heavy-duty belt.

it's what i carry

can't comprehend a better carry gun.. i have to dress shirt tucked in and carry mine in a crossbreed.. as mentioned before, accuracy is incredible for a gun this size.. i too have the .40

I have the PPS in 40 and 9. Frankly I don't think the recoil is noticeably more on the 40.

I have a PPS9 and can say only good things about it. I honestly can not think of one issue I have with it. Also it shoot it just as accurate as I do my Glock 23 and M&P40. I will never get rid of my pps.
