I am looking for a new carry 9mm and have narrowed it down to these two choices:

Walther PPS

Kahr P9

Both feel good in the hand with the advantage of the Kahr leading on comfort and the trigger seems better on the Walther. Which one have you heard more good things about and would recommend as far as a CCW?

I recently chose between the PPS and a Kahr CW9 and picked the Kahr. It felt better in my hand and I preferred its trigger. No problems yet in about 250 rounds and it is now my every day carry choice.

The Kahr trigger is a little bit better than a well tuned S&W revolver trigger in double action. However, if you don't shoot the Kahr often, I'm found it's sometimes hard to tell when it's going to break on the first shot.

Almost exactly a year ago I was in the exact same boat as I had it narrowed down to the PPS and the Kahr and I went to my local shop for a final comparison and I came home with........an HK P7.

He had one in the case, I said "What's that?", picked it up and was sold. No regrets.

I love my PPS. It is on me every second that I can legally carry, and is small enough that it isn't a burden. It is fun to shoot, and has worked 100% of the time.

The only complaint I have is that after disassembling it a few times by taking the backstrap off (the manual says to do it this way), the backstrap got a little loose. They sent me a new one for free, and I have dry firing it to take it down instead of decocking with the backstrap. It works fine, and now the backstrap thing is not an issue. It is also much easier, just make sure it is empty, then make sure again.

I've got a PPS in 9mm and another in .40 S&W. Both are excellent, functional, reliable, accurate, and easy-to-conceal firearms with exeptional triggers. In my view, the PPS is the real deal. Best thing to do would be to try both the Walther and the Kahr and see which of the two best fits your hand and eye.

PPS 9mm !

It's a great pistol that does it all. Thin, light, accurate, reliable, quality construction and perfect for conceal carry.
