I have a Glock 27 in ofrty caliber and want something a bit more slimmer for CCW. I tried the Walther PPS but found it nit fitting my hand correctly and have heard nothing but bad report about the Taurus 709 Slim.

I like the Kahr P9 or the P40 as they both have a good feel to them. I know about the break in, slide release to go into battery but what I don't know is about the muzzle flip and kick of the P40.

Of the two Kahr which have you heard better things about and what bad things have you heard?

Of those of you who have the P40, how do you like it??

Please let me know your thoughts and info.....

I have heard the 40 is pretty finicky. Not impossible to tame though. Rounds like the 40 and 45 do seem to have some problems with the ultra small guns though. The 9mm I fired, worked without a hitch through 50 rounds that my friend and I fired.

Like it or not, Kahrs are finicky with ammo. I dont care if you dont believe in limp wristing but Kahrs are prone to it. I know I am going to get someone crying a river about this one but they also need to be broken in. Yes the gun is expensive. Yes an expensive gun should not require a break in but there it is.

I've got a 27, and I love it. I have no experience with the Kahr lineup, but I can imagine a .40 lighter and smaller than the 27 getting pretty close to too much caliber for the gun. What do you use to carry your Glock, because that can also make a major difference in how it carries, but trying a new holster is much cheaper than a new gun and platform.

I'd give the FIST #1AK or similiar a shot before buying a new gun, it costs about $40 and is paper thin. it works very well and I really like carrying my Glock in the one I have.
