i was looking throught my local gun store flyer and boom a "walther sp22 m1 6inch " $329 i have never heard of this gun but was in the market for a low cost 22 pistol for plinking and this looks kool

is it a good gun or has anyone heard of it???

The M4 is on my list but hasn't come out yet (that I know of). I had the opportunity to handle an M1 last week at a gun show. IMO, for an every day gun, the grip is quite wide. I think you should handle one before buying. The rest, however, seemed OK to me. The benefit of the M4 (to my thinking) is that the palm rest will help with the grip.

One of the local shops recently had an M1 and an M2 in stock. The grip felt really strange to me. It was almost as thick as it is wide. It felt like a bar of Ivory soap with finger grooves carved into it. The person manning the counter wouldn't let me try the trigger so I can't comment on the pull weight or feel. I did like the sights very much. I like the magazine release a lot too. It's the only .22 pistol I can think of that is totally ambidextrous. The metal body appears to be an extruded aluminum tube. The construction felt stout, but fit and finish seemed really cheap. The body markings looked almost as if they were made by an electro pencil.

If you want a spacey looking plinker I'd recommend a Neos for $100 less. The Neos even comes with a rail.
I may still buy one if they turn out to be reliable, but I'm not going to beta test for them.
