Here's the scoop, you must choose one NIB semi auto in each of following calibers that "you would own". .22LR, 9MM LUGER & .45 ACP.

Each of the above must have a MSRP of NO MORE THAN $500. (HI-POINT FIREARMS ARE EXCLUDED FROM THIS THREAD).

Which three would you pick? Here's mine;

1 - Browning Buckmark Camper (.22) MSRP - $399

2- Stoeger Cougar 8000 (9MM) MSRP - $469

3- Stoeger Cougar 8045 (.45) MSRP - $499

triplebike,

These are what I would have chosen. Price being no object.

All of these prices were taken from Budsgunshop.

Ruger 22/45 Mark III 22LR 5" Blued ADJUSTABLE SIGHTS $258.00

Kahr Arms 7 + 1 Round 9MM w/3.5" Barrel/Polymer Frame & Stai $406.00

Para Ordnance GI Expert 45acp $486.00

You killed me with both NIB and $500 limit. I could do it if you suspend one of those rules.
1. Buckmark
2. Hi-Power
3. 1911A1

My point of NIB & $500 MSRP is that there are very good handguns made that fit the criteria. I started this thread to see what you guys would own given the above guidelines. It's easy to say I'd own this or that but when you're restricted to price & must buy new, I feel it takes a little more research to make a smart buying decision.

Why must you buy new? I see used guns like I see used cars...if in good shape, I'm glad to let someone else take the initial "hit" of the MSRP.

.22 Heritage rough rider $279.99
9mm Ruger P95 $393.00
.45 Rock Island Armory $419.00

EDIT: oops, just noticed the semi auto requirement.

1. Walther P22 (got it)

2. XD9 (got it)

3. Glock 37 (got it, I do not like the way any ACP frame feels, been shooting Glock 9mms forever so its a familiar feel, with ACP 'power'. works for me, no need for an ACP, already got the best 45 out there.. FOR ME..)

1. Beretta Neos Inox
2. Taurus PT-92
3. Ruger 345

Do I get any additional points for speed?

1. Ruger Mark III 22/45 Stainless 5.5" barrel (MSRP $448) I own it, new paid $359
2. Stoeger Cougar 8000 F 9mm (MSRP $469) I own it, new paid $419
3. Stoeger Cougar 8045 F .45 ACP (MSRP $499) I own it, paid $449

.22LR--Ruger MK111
9mm- CZ 75B-- Yes you can find them right at $500 new
.45--- Rock Island 1911

With that being said buying used always gets more gun for your money if you know how to look.

Ruger mkIII (5.5" bull barrel, blued)
Springer XD9sc
Citadel compact 1911

That should leave me money for extra magazines and XD/1911 CrossBreed holsters, based on actual prices I paid for those exact firearms.

1. SIG P522 $451.00
2. Kahr CW9 $406.00 I own this one
3. RIA 1911A1-SC $412.00

Since I came under my budget I would get NS's for the last two pistols.

Shawn

Mine are:

1. Colt Woodsman (made in 1938) which I got for $225.

2. No 9mm -- don't need one.

3. Colt or Kimber M1911. With the savings on the Woodsman and not buying the 9mm, I have $1,375 to spend here.

I honestly don't have much interest in a .22 semi-auto. But if those are the requirements:
1. RIA 1911 GI - $399
2. Kimber .22 conversion kit - $289
3. CZ 75B - $493

Prices taken from Bud's Guns. With the money I saved, I'll take come Crimson Trace grips.

Thats the most expensive Heritage rough rider I've seen

I can get that gun for $165 at Academy Sports

yeah I was listing MSRP from the website. I can also find NIB ruger p95 for around 300 here. But the rules state MSRP.
