Wow gentlemen, thank you all so very very much for your kind words. I have worked hard to become the maker I am and although I am barely known for my work, hopefully soon one day that will change. :)
Ok...now to answer some questions. Sorry it took me so long...I was on vacation. If anyone needs anything or has any questions my email addy is: [email protected]

Eric - what would one of the "SOE" spikes go for? Looks like you're the person to ask about getting some custom spikes made. I could do another one like that for $200. I have something really cool item in the works as far as spikes and the CIA/OSS side of things goes....let me know what you all think. (see pics below)

I like your "modern" update to my old soe spike:D Thanx Al...great to see you btw. Hope all is well on your side of the pond. :)
Ya I have ben trying out some new and old ideas. Never rest...never.

Loved the Persian Balisong...any plans for a fixed Persian???Maybe a Pesh-Kabz for the poor side of town??? Yes I do have a few persian style fixed blades that I make currently....2 different sized models. Painkiller Persian and Painkiller Nano-Persian. If you fo to my website you can see what they look like. :) AlWilliam posted the link to my website on page 1. (Thanx AL.)

Great stuff!! You an FMA guy???
BTW-you gotta post links for doing business with us all- I know you ain't selling but I am seriously liking the work...Availabilityand pricing???

I do a little FMA...been doing some Sinwali, 6 count/'heaven-6', etc. and I have plans to go do a seminar or 2 with Joe Simonet, Although so far its been mostly knife work cuz I think to be any sort of a good knifemaker/weaponsmith, I need to know HOW to use WHAT it is I'm making....so I have a clearer picture of the whys, hows, and whats of each design and style. As for pricing and availability...email me or go to my website bud. :) Alwilliam posted the link to my site on page 1.

Steel? Heat treat? Rc? Mostly S30V, CPM3V, and D2. Always HT them to 59-60 RC. Oh nd sometimes I use CPM154 and once in a great while I may use some steel from the '10' series for prototyping...not often though, I tend to stick to those primary 3 up there.

Interesting stuff, and definitely lots of style. I'd love to hear more about the Kali sticks. Well theyre made of a synthetic polymer type material that has an 11,000lbs. shear strength rating. You may have seen some polymers and such that look similar to these, but I guarantee theyre not the same. :) Along with the 550cord plaited handles(optional), kydex sheathing, and other various options, they make up a neat little package. These arent on my website yet but I can cut them in 30", 28" and 26" if you want...plaited or not...I can even crenalate the punyos if you want. I made a few pairs for Mark Davies of ComTech and he is loving them as well and Nick Goodwin of Tracy Kenpo. Nick has been testing the Kali Sticks for a few months now and he cannot get them to break. ALSO...I guarantee them for 2 yrs. against breakage and for life against manufacturing defects. We have had reports that these things wont break no matter what my customers do to them....cement parking garage supports...500lb. boulders....steel beams in parking garages, all nothing but cosmetic damage. My buds and I joke that these will most likely be outlawed at any stickfighting competition. Their officially designated "Bone-Breakers". You can email me to find out more and pricing info.

ok...now for some pics of the thing I post about first....the CIA/OSS spikes...these are pics of my Work-In-Progress. I call it 'Project-X'...enjoy.

Lemme know what you all think of this new one...the spikes and blade screw into it and can be changed to the 'fistspike' position or the 'icepick' position.
I am working on a few different attachments to date, although these 2 are definetly in the lineup to stay. :)

(......the little drag hook is something for another project....secret.)

Thats some pretty sweet work, do you do it all by hand? Or is it CNC milled/lazer cut? Its incredibly impressive either way, I am just curious.

I have some things waterjet cut if they need to be xtremely close tolerances like folders and balisongs, but otherwise its all by hand. :) And when I have the WJet cutting done, its only the profile(outline)...everything else is done by me by hand.

I have no clue...lol. I'll have to weigh them when I get a chance...my friend Nick that has a few pairs does Kenpo and he says they weigh the 'perfect' weight. Not too heavy not too light. I'll weigh them and post it. :)

I love the skull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great looking knives! Also some other great looking stuff!! I was always fascinated by some of the stuff I saw at the gun and knife shows, but your stuff is beyond amazing! If ya ever start to market and sell your stuff, let me know, i want some!!!

Eric,

Ever think of making those sticks into a cane? I'd also be interested in a plain 36" version.

FWIW, I have a 36" canvas micarta stick around here somewhere...good stuff. :)

John

Eric is good friend of mine and his work is definitely top notch. Here's a pic of my one of a kind Amoeba and karambit trainer he did for me.

Hey Rob...good to see ya bro. :) Ya those were nice ones. Thanx for posting those up. I always forget how nice that Ameoba kiridashi looks until I see it again.

JShirley- Yep, Rob (the guy who posted right after you) had suggested that a few weeks back as well. Great minds think alike. :) I would be happy to make you one plain at 36"...you thinking like a Straight Hanbo type cane?? I am not sure about bending this stuff if thats what you mean. Whats on your mind as far as a cane goes??
Ya Micarta is niiiiice stuff bud. :)

Eric,

My micarta hanbo is indestructibo- but it looks it. It'd be great if you offered a product that could pass as a cane. Doesn't have to have the traditional hook, though- with your innovative bent, I'm certain you could make something that looked innocuous.

John

Ya I can do that John...Shouldnt be any problem at all...maybe I'll even crenalte(Like a Surefire E2D) one of the ends of the cane so it can be used for striking with the tip. I could do a Hanbo length,or a Staff length one. I could put a rubber cap over the crenalations so no one knew they were there till you use them.
I dont think I can bend that stuff enough to get a 'crook' in it....but I have a few ideas that I would like to try out of steel for a "cane-head" of some sort. :D

I like it. Some things that would work really well for a hand support would increase striking usability for those less trained with hanbos. For those with a good bit of training, such an addition would add more options.

I'm not sure any extra work really has to be done with the tip, honestly. a 1-1 1/4" piece of anything harder than wood hits plenty hard on tsuki thrusts. :) I'd love to see what you could come up with.

I got a friend with a birthday in August. I bet he would flip if I got him a pair of your fighting sticks. Expect an email from me for a quote.

My apprentice made this one...I think shes selling it right now. Not sure. If anyone likes it let me know...

I think shes asking $150 but I'd have to check. Anyways...just wanted to show you all some of my apprentices work too. :)

let me know the price on one of the canes when you get em sorted out bud. My wretched old back is having a heck of a time getting around lately.

You got it JTW...good to see ya. :D

So what do you think of my work?? Getting good? I seen some of yours on CKG, bloody great bro!! Keep it up.

What size you thinking?? You want a braided handle or a head of soem sort or what were you thinking??

Liking what I see. I would be at the Iron Pitt forum more often but my pc just doesn't get along with the site for some reason , it bogs me down.

Nothing special , just something to keep me from falling over between the grinder and the drill press ;)
