Wanting to rebarrel a Rem 721 What Contour?

Ok guys I am wanting to rebarrel a Rem 721 in 30 06 to 6.5x06 I like the 6.5 caliber so here is my question what Barrel contour would you go with I am wanting to hunt with it and shoot from the bench some

I am looking at Kriger barrels by the way I want it to be blued finish length 24 inches and a 1-7.5 twist

What stock are you going to be using?

If you aren't swapping out to a different stock or wanting a longer barrel, you can usually ask the maker to match the contour. I've used Pac-nor for my last 3 barrels and they matched the contour on 2 of them. They also trued up the lugs and mounted the barrel on all three and cerakoted one of them.

Krieger will match your current barrel profile like Bbear said. I think all you will need to do is send your barrel in for them to copy.
