Please post pics of a .22 Western Field Rifle or Savage 4C. I am trying to identify a rifle and think one of these might be it. Thanks.

If this is in relation to your other post trying to identify your .22 rifle, my answer is yes....it looks exactly like my old Wards. Although it's been years since I've owned it/seen it, the first clue I had was your pic. of the mag/mag well.
It was a little mag that only fit five rounds.
The mag release was a little push/pull tab next to the mag on the bottom (same as your pic)
Also, your top view looks just like my old one did too; same bolt, same configuration.
I remember that the engraving (co. name, etc.) was on the side of the bbl. and may be partially hidden by the front stock. Get a flashlight and look really closely, possibly removing the bbl. to find it.
It was my first .22 "back in the day" handed down from my Grandfather.......great little gun, and very accurate!!
