I guess I can thank my lucky stars because I have fired a few rounds out of the affected lot already with no ill effects. I only have a box and a half left, so rather than go to the trouble of shipping it back to Fiocchi, I think I'll just safely dispose of it at my local shooting range (they have a disposal bin for bad ammo).

Thanks for the head's up, [B]Preacherman ;) .

4510230
4510241 through 4510259

Whew!
Like a lot of others here I have an un-opened case of this ammo, checked lot numbers and mine is not affected.

That's a relief, I really think this is exceptional practice ammo.

I think i may have had a box of this
ammo over a year ago.The first round
i tried sounded very weak and didn't
work the slide on my 9VE sigma.I
dropped the mag and locked the slide
back and the powder fell out in one
sticky clump. The bullet was stuck in
the chamber end of the barrel,i gave
it a slight tap and it fell out.I
checked the rest and over half had
bad powder.I just returned want was
left when i bought it and they
replaced with american eagle.

Hmmmm

I don't have any 9mm "shootin' irons", so I have no ammo to worry about. But does show that even as good a company as Fiocchi has a problem every now and then.

Seems like they are doing "the right thing", though. Better than sometime, when you REALLY need to hear BANG!, you hear "click."

I have twenty boxes and plan on talking to them tommorrow. I just purchased them at a local show (good deal by the case). I hope they will reimburse for shipping.

Fiocchi 9mm recall

I contacted Fiocchi last week and was completely taken care of by them. I received a pre-paid Fed-Ex label today. All I had to do was box it up, call Fed-Ex for pick-up, and away it goes.

Excellent customer service so far. I'll let you know how long it takes to get replacement ammo.

Regards,

Steve

THANK YOU. Was going to go with this but changed changer my order at the last minute. Got 1500 rounds of the 115gr. S&B instead.

Problems with Fiocchi 38 Special

Has anyone had any problems with their 38 specials? I seem to have run across a batch with about 25% bad primers -- they don't fire first time around.

I bought a box of this ammo last fall at the range. The last round in my clip failed to completely burn I guess you would say. The lead lodged in my barrel about half way down. It was the last round in the mag and the action did stay open. So if it was not the last round the next would have advaced.
It was a close call.

Crap. Checked the case I was halfway through, and sure enuf. The first one on the list. I hope they are as good as others have found. Will have to check for damage to the toys. Had some unusual firings - most of the case was shot on film for low light and darkness shots. Explains a few of the odd pictures.. Thought I just needed to spend more time with Oleg playing with guns in the dark.. (never a waste of time, either). :D

Recieved the replacement ammo Tuesday. It seemed like it took forever but I am greatful that they did replace it. The FED EX delivery guys must have used the box as a wheel chock. You think that they might take a little extra care when the box says small arms cartridges on it.:cuss:
