Using Remingtons free program I came up with this table

I thought it was interesting that as far as flat shooting, the 270 hangs in there with the 300 WM.
I made the table for a friend who needs to buy a deer rifle, but can't make up his mind about what he wants. It's getting annoying because I've been letting him borrow my favorite rifle to go hunting (my other rifles are from my Grandfather...). He looks down upon the lowly 308, 270 etc. and insists he wants the "biggest and the baddest". I orginially was trying to convince him for his purposes that a 30-06, 270, 308, 6.5x55, would work just great. Now, I am thinking I'll just skew the results to make the 300 RUM look superior just to get his ass to buy a gun (this is going on 2 years).
