Was there a Rifle more mass produced then the Mauser and its "clone's"?

    Just wondering about the many different type's of gun's that came frome that design, the 1903 for example and those made in different countrie's ect?

    I think the AK47 may have the biggest production numbers. Has equipped dozens of armies around the world including the Chinese military and that's several million right there.

    I guess it would depend on your definition of Mauser clone. Several modern, currently in production bolt action rifles advertise a "Mauser-type" action.

    If referring to military rifles only, I would think the Mosin Nagant (maybe the 91/30's alone) or AK47 and its variants would have the highest production numbers.

    Numbers for AK production range from 75 to 100 million rifles made, depending on who's estimates you use.

    mosin nagant was hugely produced, also the AK47(if you count clones) the M16 and it's clones are also catching up fast.
