I have a fairly new WASR that I cant quit thinking about. My toss up is this.... Im having a real hard time deciding to put an ACE folding stock on it. I REALLY like the ACE folders. I like the way they look and I like compact rifles. On the other hand they are expensive! And Im having a hard time justifying the price just to have a folder when I can put a cheap collapsable on it for a few bucks, but I dont care for the way they look. I know I know, Looks dont improve the function of a weapon, but I like my weapons to look good, and the ACE is NICE.

So, based on experience and opinion, should I put an ACE folder on my AK?

Well, I've never used an ACE stock before nor do I own a WASR-10 but what I will say is that I'm always happier buying what I really want than trying to compromise. I've been disappointed, or at least, end up buying what I really want later on when I compromise on cost.

Tapco stuff is generally good value -- except for their AK side folder. Flimsy as all get out. Look at one before you buy, I'm betting you'll pass on it if you do.

The ACE is great but costs too much for my tastes. I like the Tapco or UTG M4-gery collapsible stocks for the AK.

I put a M4gery collapsible on one of my AK's (not a Tapco) I did the real thing actual buffer tube everything. I love it and I would feel comfortable butt stroking a bison with it.

Terrible/No cheek weld but I have a cool-looking wire folder I throw on my WASR now and again.

You're probably looking for something better but authentic E European surplus wire folders are only about $50.
