WASR-2 mil-spec?

Are WASR-2 5.45mm AK rifles built to spec or not? Can they switch parts with other 5.45mm AK's like the Bulgarians, polish, etc?

The only thing I see wrong is the 45 degree gas block because 5.45mm's are supposed to have a 90 degree block. Also, are the internals out of spec or are they mil-spec 5.45mm parts?

I don't know, but mine sounds like a bag of gravel when is cycles. It does work though. The only issue is the mag wobble. I have to use some black mags I have that are a little larger than standard.

I had to replace the Romy top cover with a bulgy unit to keep my SAR-2 from being a single shot straight pull bolt action. The Romy top cover was so poorly made that it bound the action up every time.

So I would say that at least 1 part is interchangable.
